They are manufactured specifically for renewable energy applications and carry a ten year warranty. The first three years full and the next 84 months pro-rated. These batteries, like all of the 5000 series of Surrette batteries, are the best for high performance larger "photovoltaic systems" or "solar electric systems".
The 4KS21PS is a 4 volt battery rated at 1104 amp hours at the 20 hour rate. It measures 15.75" x 9.75" x 24.75" and weighs in at a whopping 230 pounds. Although it's a 4 volt battery, it can be used in any voltage system. 12, 24 or 48. Multiples of 3 for 12 volt, multiples of 6 for 24 volt and ultiples of 12 for 48 volt systems.
