The 6 volt line of deep cycle Surrette solar batteries are the batteries most often chosen to power larger full time "phtotvoltaic systems" or "solar electric systems". They carry a ten year warranty but if properly taken care of can offer up to a 20 year lifespan.
The 6CS17PS is a 6 volt model which has a capacity of 546 amp hours at the 20 hour discharge rate. It measures 22" x 8.25" x 18.25" and weighs in at 221 pounds. These six volt models can be used in any voltage solar electric system or PV system. Multiples of 2 for 12 volt systems, multiples of 4 for 24 volt systems and multiples of 8 for 48 volt systems.
