If you've found our website, you've come to the right place for some of the best tubular skylights available and a wonderful way to light up your home. Here you'll find our complete line of skylights and accessories. There are several factors you must consider when choosing the right skylight.
DISTANCE FROM THE CEILING in the house to the roof. Our skylight kits come with 4 feet of pipe. If the distance in longer than 4 feet, additional pipe sections must be added.
PITCHED OR FLAT ROOF - There are 2 different flashing available. One for a pitched roof and one for a flat roof. Be sure to order the proper flashing style for your particular roof.
ROOF TYPE - If your roof is shingle covered, the standard kit will do the trick. If you have a tile roof, you'll need a flashing skirt. A flashing skirt is used to seal the flashing to the roof under the tiles to prevent any water leakage into the home.
ATTIC OBSTACLES - Our kits are designed for pretty much a straight shot up from the ceiling to the roof. If there are any obstacles in the way or a different location for roof penetration is desired, you'll need to puchase our 45 degree adjustable pipe elbows to negitoate any bends or corners in the light pipe
DIFFUSER STYLE - Most of our kits are sold with the prismatic style diffuser which allows for maximum distribution of sunlight. There is also a white diffuser for those looking for something a little more subtle. The white diffuser is very visually appealing but does cut down somewhat on the available light. Both are readily available.
Those are our recommendations for choosing the perfect skylight for your home. Of course, if you have any other questions, need design help or installation assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us anytime...
