- Welcome to AriStar Solar -
The Walker Family, the projects, the ideas, ...if we put our heads together, there's no telling what we might come up with!!!

HEY EVERYONE!!!  Thank you so much for sticking with us through all these years and we hope you'll continue to visit for years to come.  Just a little note for all of you.   With the slow economy, I have taken a position building large scale commercial solar power systems.  I am still around to help you all with your RV, cabin and other solar power projects but am not always available by phone.  E-mail is the best method of contact for now as when I'm out of town on these projects there is always internet service when there may or may not be phone service.  If you need me right away for anything, go ahead and try the phones.  I'm not out of town all the time and there is still a good chance you'll catch me.  If not, either leave a message or send the e-mail and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can.  We're just trying to make ends meet and know a lot of other folks out there are in the same boat.  Let's all stick together and know that all of this is only temporary.  We live in the greatest country on the planet and yeah, we're all having some rough times right now but things WILL get better.  Thanks for hanging in there with us....

AriStar Solar is a small, family owned and operated renewable energy supply center involved in many different aspects of alternative technologies.  Serving customers all over the world, Lee, Branwyn & the girls manage the day to day operations of the shipping center and headquarters in the tall pines of Cambria, CA.  We're here to answer your questions and help out with your project design.

Dad on the other hand works with a completely different technology.  Pictured here is the Liquified Natural Gas fueling station recently completed for the city of Barstow, CA's bus fleet.  It was designed and built in conjunction with my uncle of Weaver Electric out of Southern California. For more information on these cutting-edge facilities you can contact Doug Weaver at www.weaverinc.net

So in addition to our day to day operations that keep the bills paid, we also are involved in many other different technologies.  After dad finishes his lunch at the Chinese Buffet his fills up his VW Jetta Diesel on the used vegetable oil from the kitchen and is back off to work.  The family out here in California are also operating our 02' F350 and 81' VW Rabbit pickup on vegetable oil as well.  We're not big fans of OPEC.

We also heat our household water with solar energy, cool our workshops with PV generated power and DC evaporative coolers, power part of our homes with solar electricity and grow a good portion of our own food with hydroponic gardening systems.

For Those Of you That Keep Track Of What's Going On With The Walkers -

  • The Straw Bale Construction Class Was Great!  I'm looking forward to building us a little straw bale cabin up at the ranch one of these days!
  • Ran into some problems with the tomatoes.  We seem to have an airborne fungus here in Cambria that won't allow them to make it to maturity.  SO, we're setting up the tomatoes in Atascadero in our 1200 square foot hydro-barn!
  • Just enjoyed some of the first hydroponic lemons the other day.  They were great!
  • The Red Claw Crayfish tank is ready and we have already had 2 pregnant females!  We've just generated our first crayfish BBQ!
  • The VW and my Powerstroke are now enjoying my first batches of BioDiesel.
  • The oil press has arrived and soon after harvest time this year we'll be putting the squeeze on a few tons of grape seed.  Can't hardly wait for that one!
  • Still on the list - The ethanol still, the solar air heaters, and a few other projects.
  • Recently added to our product line is the AeroGarden & we're very excited about it.  Check out the link at the top left column of the page.  The coolest hydrogarden out there....

SO...are we actually involved in alternative technologies and able to answer questions, aid in system design, power your home, heat your water, fuel your cars, grown your food, etc.......

You betcha'....Give me a ring with your questions toll free at  888 878-6786 or drop me an e-mail at azsolarsales@gmail.com
