Our Green Tea Farm
I've had this one brewing in the back of my head since mid 05'. A hydroponic green tea farm. Most everyone knows about the benefits of green tea but why does 99% of all the tea come from China and Japan. We need to be growing green tea here in the old USA....but with a twist...
Our first aeroponic green tea system is now up and running. Typically, it takes several years for a green tea plant to mature enough to be harvested without stunting it's growth. However, with our green tea aeroponic growing system, we're going to see if we can speed that up a bit. Our initial 120 plants are underway and we'll know soon if this is going to work the way we want or not. I am trying the plants in 3 different type of hydroponic growing systems. We'll see which works the best. Aeroponic, top feed drip and deep water.
If all goes well, I would like to have at least 1000 plants and be able to offer you some of the best, healthiest and most cutting edge tea on the planet...
To my knowledge, there is no other farm set up like this anywhere on the planet.
