Fresh Tilapia And Red Claw Crayfish
Let's Get The Home Fish Farm Up And Running...

An experiment in aquaculture utilizing recirculating filtration systems, hydroponic growing methods and some of the best food stock out there.  Tilapia and Red Claw Crayfish.  Did I forget to mention...All solar powered!

My first Red Claw Crawfish tank is now up and running!  For those of you that don't know, the Red Claw is a tropical species of Crawfish that can grow up to near a pound.  Basically a small freshwater lobster.  The meat is supposed to be comparable to lobster or crab and I must say, I found it spectacular!  We have a handful of the little guys running around the tank and will keep you posted on how it all works out.  We may even be offering crawfish kits for those of you out there wanting your own Red Claw farm.

In addition to the Red Claw, I also have a Tilapia tank.  Tilapia is a great freshwater fish, also tropical, that has a very mild flavor.  Not the fishy flavor of many sea creatures.  If you grabbed a few Tilapia fillets and breaded them with breadcrumbs and friend them up in a pan, you could easily pass it off to your friends as chicken.  It's that good...

This tank will be up and running in the next few weeks so check back often for updates.

To top off this section is another plant I have wanted to grow for some time.  FRESH WASABI !  I haven't got this one up and running yet but will throw in some pics as soon as it's all put togther.  Hopoefully soon!

I think it will make a perfect match with the 2 little guys above!
